This specimen was lot 10398 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €105 (about US$110). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 5 Øre, 1899-VBP. Copenhagen Mint. Christian IX. NGC AU-55 Brown. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This subtype was struck 1894, 1898-99, 1902-1906. One krone is 100 øre, which system is still in use although coinage has ceased in Denmark.
