This specimen was lot 73519 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 5 Ore, 1898-VBP. Copenhagen Mint. Christian IX. PCGS MS-63 Brown. This beautiful example has glossy brown colored surfaces that give a satiny luster and even a hint of cartwheeling. A hint of mint red can still be observed around the devices." This subtype was struck 1894, 1898-99, 1902-1906. This is listed as a better date but this specimen realized only half the catalog value.
