This type was struck 1875-76 and 1892 for Christian IX (1863-1906) as king of Denmark. It was part of the decimal reform instituted in 1874. This issue is not rare but is much less often seen than the commemorative two kroner such as KM 800. Despite having the lowest mintage, the 1892 is the most available date.
Recorded mintage: 701,000.
Specification: 7.5 g, 0.800 fine silver, .192 troy oz ASW.
Catalog reference: KM 797.1.
