This specimen was lot 13117 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $822. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Ore, 1876-CS. NGC MS-62 BN. RARE date." This type was struck 1874-92 for Christian IX (1863-1906) as king of Denmark. It is common as a type but many of the dates are rare. Despite the large mintage, this is the key date.
