This specimen was lot 70493 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $70. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Ore, 1874-CS. Copenhagen Mint. Christian IX. NGC MS-65 Brown. This attractive looking Gem boasts a strong strike with smooth surfaces and plenty of original mint red." This type was struck 1874-92 for Christian IX (1863-1906) as king of Denmark. It is common as a type but many of the dates are rare.

Recorded mintage: 5,540,000.

Specification: 2 g, bronze, 16 mm diameter.
