This type was struck 1875-76 and 1897-99 for Christian IX (1863-1906) as king of Denmark. The last silver two kroner was struck in 1958. This issue is not rare but is much less often seen than the commemoratives (see KM 799).
Recorded mintage: 1,381,000.
Specification: 15 g, 0.800 fine silver, .385 troy oz ASW, 31 mm diameter.
