from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10265

This specimen was lot 10265 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €168 (about US$175). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. Mark, 1672-GK. Copenhagen Mint. Christian V. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1672 and 1676, both with initials "GK". One krone was four mark or two-thirds speciedaler.
