This specimen was lot 928 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $90. The catalog description[1] noted, "GLÜCKSTADT: Christian IV, 1588-1648, AR 1/16 speciedaler, 1643, small edge chip, tiny punch mark, but nice strike and general appearance, VF." Gluckstadt, a town on the Elbe downstream of the city of Hamburg, was founded in 1617 by the kings of Denmark and later made the capital of the duchy of Holstein, which they ruled. This 1/16 speciedaler or three skilling Lybsk was struck 1640-47. It is noted as scarce but this is the most available date. The denomination was struck 1623-80.
