This specimen was lot 10189 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €512.40 (about US$591). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Søsling Lybsk, 1623. Glückstadt Mint. Christian IV. NGC Fine Details--Bent. Scarce date. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1623-25 and undated. A variety exists for 1623 with a two digit date. Christian IV (r. 1588-1648), king of Denmark and duke of Schleswig-Holstein, where this was struck, had a long but only moderately successful reign. His war with Sweden and his intervention in the Thirty Years War were costly and brought little gain. One speciedaler was 96 søsling Lybsk.

Specification: 1.46 g, 0.888 fine silver, 18.6 mm diameter. (0.63 g, 0.312 fine silver per Numista.)
