This specimen was lot 43240 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. Danzig. 1/2 Gulden, 1927. NGC MS-63. Two year type." Of the two dates, 1923 and 1927, this is the scarcer. It was superseded in 1932 by a nickel coin (KM 153).
Recorded mintage: 400,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 2.50 g, 0.750 fine silver.
