The first specimen was lot 4411 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Danzig, 1/2 Gulden 1923. In US-Plastikholder der PCGS mit der Bewertung PR 64. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Polierte Platte. (free city of Danzig, half gulden of 1923, in PCGS PR-64 holder. Very rare in this quality, proof.)"

This type was struck 1923 and 1927 and is fairly common. It was superseded in 1932 by a nickel coin (KM 153).

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.750 fine silver.
