This specimen was lot 24569 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Christian IX Prooflike 2 Cents 1905, PL65 BN NGC. This coin in Prooflike grade has a reported mintage of 20 pieces. The spectacular mirror like fields separate this coin from virtually all others. For the finest of collections." This one year type is common except in proof.

Recorded mintage: 150,000 plus 20 proofs.
