This specimen was lot 30475 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $4,993.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Frederick VIII 20 Cents (Franc) 1907, PL65 NGC. Completely struck up with full reflectivity beneath a layer of dappled blue and rose-brown patina. A magnificent Gem example of this scarce type." This one year type is quite scarce.

Recorded mintage: 101,000 plus 10 proofs.

Specification: 5 g, 0.800 fine silver.
