This specimen was lot 71735 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA. 100 Korun, 1993. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. Mintage: An elusive proof issue that is amongst the final Czechoslovakian pieces produced, this example delivers a flawless eye appeal, with sharp cameo contrast and much beauty." This denomination was used in 1993 for two commemoratives; this one, for the Slovak Museum Centennial, and KM 162, for the millennium of the Brevnov Monastery. The uncirculated strikes are common while the proofs are expensive. Many were melted. Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1992.

Recorded mintage: 70,000 plus 3,000 proofs (31,932 pieces, Unc and Proof, were melted by the Czech National Bank in 1999).

Specification: 13 g, 0.500 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
