This specimen was lot 42383 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. Cundinamarca. 1823-JF 2 Reales. Bogotá mint. VG-8 (PCGS). Granular and showing signs of handling, but well centered and still attractive. The rare final date of the type. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck 1820-21 and 1823 and was preceded by the similar "LIBERTAD AMERICANA" struck 1819-20 (see KM 77).
Recorded mintage: unknown but a rare date.
