The first specimen was lot 23652 in the 2011 April Rosemont Signature World and Ancient Coins (CICF) Auction #3014, where it sold for $546. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic - Cundinamarca 2 Reales 1821JF Bogotá, XF45 NGC, nicely toned with original mint luster, very scarce grade for this crudely produced provincial coinage." This type was struck 1820-21 and 1823 and was preceded by the similar "LIBERTAD AMERICANA" struck 1819-20 (see KM 77).
