This specimen was lot 25426 in the 2011 April Rosemont Signature World and Ancient Coins (CICF) Auction #3014, where it sold for $1092. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cundinamarca 1 Real 1821-Ba-JF, EF45 ANACS. A very nice example with natural surfaces, well struck, and an enticingly curious and intense expression on the Indian's face! While available in worn condition, pieces this appealing are almost never seen. From The Dana Roberts Collection." This type was struck 1820-21 and was preceded by the similar "LIBERTAD AMERICANA" struck 1819-20 (see KM 78).
