This specimen was lot 12222 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1862 10 Pesos. Bogotá mint. AU-50 (PCGS). The first 10 Pesos issue in the name of the United States of Colombia, a scarce and historically important issue. Mustard yellow gold with scattered light marks. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá (shown here) 1862-66, Medellin 1864-71 and Popayan (Fr-103) 1863-70. While not cheap, it is considerably more available than the five pesos.
