Chur 1632 10 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 2804 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$92 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND, Grisons, Chur, Stadt, 10 Kreuzer 1632. Vorzüglich. (city of Chur, ten kreuzer of 1632. Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1629-37 in sufficient numbers that it lists in the SCWC as a fairly cheap coin. Chur, along with the rest of Switzerland, left the Empire in 1648 as part of the Treaty of Westphalia which ended the Thirty Years War. Below St. Luke on the reverse is the city arms, which feature a leaping ibex.
