Sincona sale 69, part of lot 1516

This specimen was part of lot 1516 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), which it sold for 1,359 CHF (about US$1,503 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA | Volksrepublik. 10 Yuan 2016. Panda-Serie. 1 Gramm. Lot von total 18 Exemplaren. Feingewicht total: 18 Gramm. Polierte Platte. In Originalverschweissung. (people's republic of China, ten yuan of 2016, panda series, one gram, lot of 18 pieces, 18 g total gold weight. Choice Proof. In original capsules.)"

The SCWC has not updated its listings of pandas since 2012. This gold one gram is a recent addition to the panda series.

Recorded mintage: 600,000.

Specification: 1.00 g, 0.999 fine gold, 10 mm diameter.
