This specimen was lot 30357 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,116.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 50 Pesos, 1961. NGC MS-67. Tied with one other piece for finest graded. Lovely full cartwheel luster with virtually no evidence of handling or contact." This type was issued 1926, 1958-74 as a bullion coin. It is accompanied by twenty and hundred pesos in gold.
