This specimen was lot 1409 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $847. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE, Republic. 1818-present. AV 10 Pesos. Santiago mint. Dated 1896 So. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 63. Choice uncirculated. Purchased June 1971." This type is noted for 1896, 1898 and 1901. It is fairly common, and circulated and cleaned specimens sell for bullion.
