This specimen was lot 1702 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "Chile. 10 Pesos, 1898-So. Scarce date. NGC graded MS-64." This type is noted for 1896, 1898 and 1901. It is fairly common, and circulated and cleaned specimens sell for bullion.
Recorded mintage: 276,000.
Specification: 5.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, 21 mm diameter, 0.1766 ounce.
