This specimen was lot 74102 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 2 Reales, 1805-So FJ. Santiago Mint. Charles IV. PCGS EF-40. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck at Santiago 1796-1808 in limited numbers and, tho not common, is much less rare than preceding types. Assayer FJ operated 1803-17 and survived into the republican regime.
