SB124-51376 rev.jpg

This specimen was lot 51376 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 1/4 Real, 1792. Santiago Mint. Charles IV. NGC VF-35. Type without mintmark. Variety with widely-spaced date. A lovely and wholesome example for this uncommon type. Richly toned with plenty of subdued luster surrounding its bold central devices. From the EMO Collection." Specification: 0.84 g, 0.896 fine silver.

Catalog reference: Cayón-13117, EMO-856.1 (Plate coin); KM-56 (Unlisted date); Cal-187.
