This specimen was lot 23346 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "CEYLON. 10 Cents, 1920-B. Bombay Mint. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Pop: 1; the finest graded at PCGS by two points. This little Gem quality coin exhibits full luster and light gray toning." This type was struck 1919-28 and is not rare. It is lower in fineness than the previous type (KM 104) struck until 1917. It was converted to nickel-brass in 1944. Ceylon, famous for tea, attained its independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka.
