Goldberg Sale 139, lot 1653
G139-1653r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1653 in Goldberg Sale 139 (Los Angeles, June 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 10 Dollars, 2002. Struck for the 90th Anniversary of the $10 Gold coin. Only 2,002 struck of this one year type. Pop 4; 33 in PF69UC; 4 in PF70UC at NGC. NGC graded Proof 68 Ultra Cameo." In our ignorance, we don't see the point of issuing a coin to commemorate another coin but the RCM saw fit to accompany this with a similar gold five dollars.

Recorded mintage: 2,002.

Specification: 16.72 g, 0.900 fine gold, 26.92 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: Fr-60; KM-520.
