This specimen was lot 44213 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 50 Cents, 1965. Ottawa Mint. PCGS PROOF-67+ Deep Cameo. An attractive and brilliant Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." This type was struck 1965-66 and is among the last silver half dollars issued for circulation. Silver was removed from the coinage in 1968, following the USA by four years.
