This specimen was lot 32658 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Prooflike 10 Cents 1955 PL68 PCGS. Beautifully toned and a condition rarity as the only PL68 graded at PCGS with none finer." This type, struck at Ottawa 1953-64, is common in all grades. The use of chrome plated dies gave a polished appearance to the coins which in turn magnified the detractive effects of bagmarks.

Recorded mintage: 12,237,294.

Specification: 2.31 g, 0.800 fine silver, .059 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.

Catalog reference: KM 51.
