This specimen was lot 20461 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $2,185. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Specimen Dollar 1950, Specimen 65 PCGS Secure, fully brilliant surfaces, a superb example and quite scarce as a Specimen." This type was struck 1948 and 1950-52 and saved.

Recorded mintage: 261,002.

Specification: 23.32 g, 0.800 fine silver, .600 troy oz ASW.
