This specimen was lot 32605 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $111.63. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Specimen Cent 1950 SP64 Red PCGS, Royal Canadian Mint. Attractive reddish-gold patina, with distinctive cameo contrast. The strike is sharp and only [t]iny spots are noted in otherwise blemish-free surfaces. From The Eric Beckman Collection of Canadian Coins." This type, struck at Ottawa 1948-52, is common in all grades tho the mintages are lower than those of World War Two.

Recorded mintage: 60,444,992.

Specification: 3.24 g, bronze, 19.1 mm diameter, plain edge.
