Canada issued silver five cent pieces 1858-1921. In 1920, the coin was debased from .925 to 0.800 fine, then in 1921 it was converted to a nickel piece very similar to the U. S. five cent coin. This specimen was lot 70336 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 5 Cents, 1918. NGC MS-66. Housed in an older generation NGC holder. Well struck and lustrous with deep attractive mottled toning. Clearly an example which sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed." This date is common, a result of wartime activity.
