This specimen was lot 26267 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $499.38. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 5 Cents 1917, MS65 ICCS, effulgent throughout with a light golden hue, hard to imagine a finer specimen. From The Nikita Collection." Canada issued silver five cent pieces 1858-1921. In 1920, the coin was debased from .925 to 0.800 fine, then in 1921 it was converted to a nickel piece very similar to the U. S. five cent coin.
