This specimen was lot 24115 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $851.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 50 Cents 1917, MS63 PCGS, light silvery-gray toning with full underlying luster, scarce in this designation." This type was struck 1912-19 and was superseded by KM25a, struck 1920-36, which was only 0.800 fine silver. This is a common date of the type but is scarce in high grade.

Specification: 11.66 g, 0.925 fine silver, .300 troy oz ASW.
