This specimen was lot 1877 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $190.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA: Victoria, 1837-1901, AR 25 cents, 1894, lustrous, better date, EF." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. This date is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 220,000, a better date.
Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver, .173 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
