This specimen was lot 23441 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $5,287.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 25 Cents 1893, MS64 ICCS, fully lustrous and original with some uneven toning on the obverse. Very scarce low-mintage date and highly elusive in this superior quality. From The Nikita Collection." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. This date is quite scarce, verging on rare.

Recorded mintage: 100,000.

Specification: 5.81 g, 0.925 fine silver, .173 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
