This specimen was lot 22312 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1882-H. PCGS MS-63 BN Secure Holder. Sharply struck with pleasing chocolatey brown surfaces and mild orange mint luster highlights." This type was struck 1870-1901 in large quantities and is readily available in grades up to brown Uncirculated. This date is priced about 30% higher than the commonest date (1900-H) but is otherwise unmemorable.

Recorded mintage: 4,000,000.

Specification: 5.67 g, bronze, 25.4 mm diameter, plain edge.
