This specimen was lot 22602 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1833-CvC. Wilhelm. NGC MS-63. Sharply struck with light attractive tone and strong underlying soft satin luster." This type was struck 1832-34. It is scarcer than the preceding gulden (KM 1109) of George IV.
