This specimen was lot 73273 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen, 1832-CvC. Brunswick Mint. Wilhelm VIII. PCGS MS-62. A few light adjustment marks are noted. Otherwise, this nearly-Choice specimen provides ample toning that has taken on an amber-champagne hue throughout. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1832-34. It is scarcer than the preceding gulden (KM 1109) of George IV.
