This specimen was lot 3183 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, Herzogtum, Karl II. 1815-1830 5 Taler 1828. Braunschweig Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. PCGS XF40. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Charles II, 1815-30, five thaler of 1828, Brunswick mint. Rare, Very fine-extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1824-30 and was equal to a Prussian freidrichs d'or but is much scarcer.
