This specimen was lot 3806 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[2] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Mecklenburg-Schwerin, ab 1815 Grossherzogtum Friedrich Franz I. 1785-1837. 5 Taler 1828. Auf den Besuch des Grossherzogs in der Münzstätte Schwerin. Äusserst selten, nur 5 oder 6 Ex. geprägt. Vorzüglich. (Grand duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Frederick Francis, 1785-1837, five thaler of 1828, extremely rare, extremely fine.)"

This type is rare and is accompanied by an even rarer ten thaler.
