This specimen was lot 1348 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1789-MC. Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand, 1780-1806. Leaping horse. Pop 1; The Finest of two graded at PCGS. This coin photo in the PCGS Pop Report. Mostly untoned. PCGS graded AU-55. The Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1789-90, 1795-1800 along with KM 1022 and KM 1034. One thaler was 36 mariengroschen.
