This specimen was lot 624 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Taler, 1720-C. August Wilhelm (1714-31). NGC AU-58. Slightly uneven strike as evident in the crown, but nice old envelope toning and quite attractive. From the Rockaway Collection." This somewhat scarce type was struck 1716-30.
