The first specimen was lot 1329 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 550 (about US$725 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Taler 1687. Zellerfeld Vorzüglich. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, thaler of 1687, Zellerfeld mint, extremely fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 760 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,421 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM Rudolf August und Anton Ulrich, 1685-1704. Reichstaler 1687, Zellerfeld. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Rudolf August and Anton Ulrich, 1685-1704, thaler of 1687, Zellerfeld mint. Nice patina, extremely fine.)"
