This specimen was lot 74460 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1681. Zellerfeld Mint. Rudolph August. PCGS AU-55. A well-preserved and attractive example, displaying even, glossy surfaces and only light wear to the high points. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1677-85. Another variety, KM 516 without "V. FEIN SILB." on the reverse, was struck 1674-79.
