This specimen was lot 1081 in Sincona sale 22 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,512 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Wolfenbüttel, Herzogtum, Heinrich der Jüngere, 1514-1568 Halbtaler 1541. Sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Henry the Younger, 1514-68, half thaler of 1541, very fine.)"
This half thaler shows a very early version of the wild man design.
