This specimen was lot 10 in Schulman auction 388 (Amsterdam, December 2025), where it sold for €2,100 (about US$2,959 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "German States - 21/2 Thaler or Loser zu 21/2 reichsthaler 1648, Silver, CHRISTIAN LUDWIG 1648-1665, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LUNEBURG-CELLE Zellerfeld mint. Duke, cuirassed on horseback right. Rev. combined arms beneath five helmets. Rare as a 21/2 Thaler. Slight scratches on obverse. Dark grey cabinet toning. Nearly extremely fine/Very fine +." Some of these come with the value punched in the field below the duke.
