This specimen was lot 2088 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$239 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Celle, Herzogtum, Friedrich, 1636-1648 Taler 1637. Clausthal. Gutes sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle, Frederick I, 1636-48, thaler of 1637, Clausthal mint. Good very fine.)"
This type was struck 1637-38 and is fairly common. Other thalers for 1637 include Dav-6491, -6491A, -6494. The duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle fell extinct in 1705 and passed to Hannover.
