Künker sale 293, lot 637

This specimen was lot 637 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €300 (about US$404 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, HERZOGTUM Georg, 1636-1641. Reichstaler 1637, Zellerfeld. Hübsche Patina, winz. Kratzer, sehr schön +. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg, George, 1636-41, thaler of 1637, Zellerfeld mint. Handsome toning, small scratches, very fine or better.)"

This type of 1637-38 is rather scarce.
