This specimen was lot 5585 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €6,000 (about US$8,350 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, Christian, Bischof von Minden, 1611-1633. Reichstaler 1632, Clausthal, auf den Tod seines Bruders Magnus am 10. Februar. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Feine Tönung, vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung eines Ingenieurs. Exemplar der Slg. Erich Reichardt, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 49, Osnabrück 1999, Nr. 1698. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle, Christian, bishop of Minden, 1611-33, thaler of 1632, Clausthal mint, on his death on February 10. This death commemorative is very rare. It was accompanied by an eighth thaler and likely a quarter thaler and half thaler as well, altho these are not listed. The duke himself died the next year, killed in a battle of the Thirty Years War.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 29,02 g.
